Covering an area of 20,000 square meters, the museum has a building area of 50,000 square meters and an exhibition space of 18,000 square meters. The exhibition line stretches 2,344 meters. The museum's collection includes over 3,000 works of fine calligraphy and paintings from six Northeast Asian countries (China, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Japan, South Korea, Mongolia, and Russia).
These works primarily consist of award-winning pieces from the China-Northeast Asia Exposition's International Calligraphy, Painting, and Photography Exhibition, which has been held five times. The collection also includes masterpieces by artists and distinguished painters from various countries, showcasing strong national cultures, regional characteristics, folk traditions, intangible cultural heritage, and a wide variety of artistic works and derivative crafts.
